The 46th ICAME conference officially opened this morning with a festive ceremony held in Vilnius University’s Aula Parva—a historic hall that provided an elegant and meaningful setting for this international event.
Participants were warmly welcomed by Professor Jolanta Šinkūnienė (Head of the ICAME46 Organising Committee), dr. Artūras Vasiliauskas (The Vice-Rector for Partnerships at Vilnius University), Professor Mindaugas Kvietkauskas (Dean of the Faculty of Philology), and Professor Patricia Ronan (Chair of ICAME Board). Their opening remarks set a positive and engaging tone for a week dedicated to English corpus research, digital tools, and linguistic innovation.
Over the next five days, attendees will enjoy a dynamic academic program, including keynote lectures, hands-on workshops, software demonstrations, and presentations of cutting-edge research. The conference also features a lively social agenda, from cultural tours to a disco-themed dinner at the iconic Neringa restaurant.
We’re excited to welcome you to Vilnius—let the conversations begin!
